Advisory Council

An advisory council was created to provide oversight, direction and feedback during the code update process. Council members were selected to create a diverse representation of the stakeholders who use and are affected by the zoning and subdivision codes in the Town.

Project Status

The Advisory Council met on September 15 2004 to make revisions to the Propowed Zoning Map and Zoning Code. One more meeting is planned to go over the Subdivision Code prior to holding a second Public Hearing,

A Public Hearing was held on August 19, 2004

The Advisory Council met on July 28, 2004 to review the draft code and map prior to opening up the documents to public review and a public hearing.

The Advisory Council met on March 30, 2004 and examined proposed revisions to the Zoning Map.

The Advisory Council met on March 16, 2004 and conducted a review of the proposed Subdivision Code.

The Advisory Council met on February 26, 2004 and discussed proposed changes to the Town Subdivision Code. The Advisory Council also reviewed follow-up information on the Zoning Code.

The Advisory Council met on November 24, 2003 and December 17, 2003 and discussed proposed changes and additions to the existing Zoning Code. Topics of discussion included: Manufactured homes (mobile homes); Manufactured Home Parks; Non-conforming Uses; Billboards; Road Frontage; Flag Lots; Sewer & Water Hookups; Boathouses, Docks and Waterfront Setbacks; Telecommunications Facilities (cell towers, etc.); Adult Uses; Outdoor Burning Furnaces; Commercial/Industrial Design Standards and Guidelines; Landscaping Standards & Guidelines; Schedule of District Regulations (Zoning District Regs).
