Arab Mountain Fire Tower - Friends of Mount Arab (FOMA)
The Arab Mountain Fire Tower is a lovingly restored bit of Adirondack history and one of the few fire towers remaining in the Adirondack Park. With ideas and materials provided by FOMA, Michael created a series of large kiosks for installation on and in the fire tower cabin to present the history of the tower and its restoration. A considerable amount of digital photo restoration was accomplished as part of this project. Many images were old, stained, badly exposed, or faded -- sometimes all four! The finished kiosks are shown below. You'll have to hike the mountain to see the details.

Lift the Lift Community Fund-raising Sign
The First United Methodist Church of Saranac Lake NY needed a sign to promote their community-wide fund raising effort to install a wheelchair lift to provide handicap accessibility for the many community organizations and activities that utilize the property. We designed the sign, which was printed on heavy vinyl, and created a custom frame for displaying the sign. The sign measures 3 feet by 6 feet.

Upper Saranac Lake Management Plan Implementation
Michael Martin obtained a New York State Environmental Protection Fund grant for the Town of Santa Clara in order to implement portions of the Upper Saranac Lake Management Plan, including a State of the Lake/Management Plan brochure, a kiosk to be placed at the lake's two main access sites, and road signs for marking the watershed boundary. Michael Martin developed the products shown here as part of that grant. The brochure is poster sized (24" x 36") when unfolded, and printed on one side with a summary of the State of the Lake Report ( EPA Clean Lakes Diagnostic-Feasibility Study report, Michael Martin, principle author) and printed on the back with a summary of the Upper Saranac Lake Watershed Management Plan, developed by the Upper Saranac Lake Citizen's Advisory Committee, under the direction of Michael Martin and others. Town of Santa Clara Land Use Plan Map
used GIS to create municipal Land Use Plan map to accompany newly adopted Land Use Master Plan for Santa Clara, NY. The two master Land Use Maps, printed at a scale of 1" = 2,000', is over 90 inches long and can be seen in the two Santa Clara Town Halls. Smaller versions of the Land Use Map were also created for field use.
